Manayunk is the king of street festivals—but if you’re thinking all of that festive fun doesn’t return until the warm weather makes a return, you’re fortunately mistaken! Founders Philly Freeze-Out transforms Main Street (including right outside of your The Isle apartment!) into a winter wonderland, complete with food, drinks, shopping, entertainment and more.

The winter favorite returns January 25, with activities spanning Main all the way from Canal View Park down to Lock Street. From 11 a.m.-4 p.m., join with thousands of neighbors and visitors to take in all that Manayunk has to offer in the winter (there’s a lot!). At Canal View Park, start your day at an “ice” beer garden with samples from Founders Brewing Co. and live music. Then, head down Main Street to Cotton, where you can find fire pits, Manayunk merchandise, more live entertainment and an ice-carving demonstration. You can also situate yourself at Main and Lock streets for more firepits, entertainment, music and samples from Founders and other local watering holes. Another great way to warm up is by hopping on the Chowder Crawl, running from noon-3 p.m. for $15 a person. Ticket holders can stop by restaurants all along Main Street to try each of their versions of the soup, the perfect opportunity to take the chill off a frigid January day in Manayunk!

You can also take in specials and samples at dozens of Main Street eateries and bars, many of which will be hosting special activities for the day, such as hot cocoa bars, photo stops, contests, arts activities and more. Shuttles will run throughout the day to bring Freeze-Out festival-goers to each of the different participants along the route (but since your The Isle apartment is just blocks from most of the stops, you can easily stroll there and back!).
