Best Sports Bars in Manayunk to Watch the Super Bowl

The holidays may be over, but America’s “true” holiday is just around the corner; Super Bowl Sunday. The holiest Sunday of the season for football fans,  this monumental sporting event is a fun time to celebrate, whether you watch for the football, half-time show or commercials. Unfortunately, Philadelphians will have to go another year without an Eagles Super Bowl appearance (but luckily no Cowboys either!) yet millions of Americans will still be tuning into the big game for all the special events. While many of our Isle residents will be watching at home in their apartments, Manayunk’s lively social scene offers plenty of options for those looking to head out to watch the Super Bowl.

Pitcher’s Pub

The closest spot you can get to home while still leaving our building, Pitchers Pub is right around the corner on Main Street. Serving Philadelphians for over two decades, Pitchers is a laid-back, lively bar that’s a second home to many locals and regulars, with the typical pub-fare offerings. With seven large flat-screen TVs, it shouldn’t be hard to find a spot to watch the game at this Manayunk hangout.

JD McGillcuddy’s

While mostly catering to a fun-loving college crowd, just a short walk down Cotton Street Isle residents will find the ever-lively, JD McGillicuddy’s. A strong-hold for all Philly sports fans, their walls are adorned with all things Philly sports. With drink and food specials on most nights of the week, Super Bowl is sure to be one of their biggest parties of the year. This Manayunk bar has three floors of games, live music and of course, drinks, with more outdoor seating for when the weather allows it. Close to home and sure to show you a good time, there could not be a more typically Philly locale to celebrate America’s biggest game day.
