Main Street in Manayunk is the place to be for food and drinks any day of the week—and at one event this spring, all of that culinary creativity will be on display!

The annual Manayunk StrEAT Food Festival is scheduled for April 14 along Main Street, just steps from your The Isle apartment. From 11 a.m.-5 p.m. that day, indulge on the best of the best of the local food truck scene. More than 50 trucks will set up shop along Manayunk’s main drag to offer their dishes in an event that has become an annual favorite.

No matter your tastes, you can find something to dive into at the StrEAT Food Festival. The city’s food truck community turns out in force, offering everything from delectable desserts to international flavors and American favorites. Grab a barbecue sandwich, pizza in a cone (!) or empanadas (or one of each!) and finish it all off with a handcrafted cannoli. In addition to the food trucks, the festival also features a number of gourmet food vendors, offering everything from fresh produce to homemade spices. If you’re looking to try out some new recipes at your The Isle apartment, visiting the food festival first is a must.

If all the eating has you working up a thirst, you can stop by the festival’s beer and wine garden, showcasing lots of handcrafted selections from local makers. You can kick back with your brew and your snack and take in live music at a number of stages throughout the street.

While the food festival highlights eats from around the region, it’s also a great opportunity to support the local merchants right here in Manayunk. Many restaurants and bars run specials throughout the day, and a number of businesses will move their merch right out to the curb for sidewalk sales. So as you nibble and nosh, make sure to pop into our local businesses and give them some love as well.
