How to Make the Most of Manayunk Cocktail Week

The cold weather is moving into Philly, which might prompt you to want to curl up in your PJs with a hot chocolate and a good book on the couch of your The Isle apartment. While we’re all for that plan, there’s an event taking over Manayunk this week that will be sure to pry you off the couch and out onto Main Street for another way to get warm and toasty!

Manayunk Cocktail Week returns through Nov. 3, as more than a dozen Manayunk restaurants and bars get creative with their cocktails! The weeklong event celebrates the “craft of the cocktail,” so, in that vein, all of the participants will put their own unique spin on your favorite spirits, debuting signature drinks and special pricing for the week. Each Cocktail Week participant will also feature a special event in honor of the occasion, including tastings, food pairings and cocktail-mixing classes.

Here are just a few of the spots to check out during the week. Hit them all up in one night to make your own Cocktail Week bar crawl, or stop by each on a different night of the festival to keep the fun going:

SOMO: This Main Street fave, just one block from your The Isle apartment, is already known for its creative (and creatively named!) cocktails, like the Rusty Griswold and the You’re My Boy Blue, so you’ll know they’ll be cooking up something unique for Cocktail Week.

Taqueria Feliz: If you’re a fan of tequila, this is your spot. This Mexican hot spot, three blocks from your The Isle apartment, features more than 50 types of tequila on any given day, so expect this specialty to factor prominently into its Cocktail Week offerings.

Craft Manayunk: Enjoy cocktails with a little sophistication at Craft Manayunk, which expertly blends spirits, syrups and even sweets for their specialty cocktails, a perfect fit for the chic setting, three blocks from your The Isle apartment.
