It’s summer in the city! If you want to escape the heat and reward your taste buds in the process—all while taking in the sights and sounds of the city—venture out to one of the local ice cream shops near your The Isle apartment. Manayunk is brimming with confectionary creativity, and a stroll to the ice cream shop is a great way to enjoy a summer night with friends, or to put a unique spin on date night.  

Luckily, there are lots of sweet spots within walking distance of your The Isle apartment, including Chloe’s Corner. The longtime local spot is conveniently located right on Main Street, making it a perfect place to stop after a dinner out in Manayunk—and, as a bonus, it’s open late, so even if you have an indulgent dinner, you can still indulge afterwards! Or, if you’re taking a stroll or bike ride along the Schuylkill River Trail, Chloe’s makes a great stop for a pick-me-up, as it’s located right at the entrance to the trail.

No matter what brings you to Chloe’s, you’ll find something to suit your tastes. The shop serves hand-dipped ice cream in a wide variety of flavors—the run-of-the-mill favorites to more exotic options like key lime pie—as well as soft serve, gelatos and water ice (or, as Philly residents call it, “wooder” ice). Add a soft pretzel and soda to round out your order! You can even bring along your four-legged companion to get a treat of his own, as Chloe’s offers “pup cups,” complete with ice cream and a dog treat, for furry friends. 

The shop is about a three-block stroll from your The Isle apartment, so if you want to get a little exercise before indulging, lace up your walking shoes, pack your appetite and check it out!
