Here’s Where to Celebrate Dining Out for Life in Manayunk

April 17th, 2019
Every April, thousands of restaurants around the nation open their doors to generous diners who want to give back to fight HIV/AIDS. Dining Out for Life is an annual tradition that started right here in Philadelphia—and fittingly, Philly’s Dining Out for Life celebration is one of the country’s biggest. Hundreds of local restaurants, including dozens near your The Isle apartment, will donate a third of their proceeds on April 18 to the cause, with the donations going directly to support people in the Philadelphia area impacted by HIV/AIDS.
With so much culinary creativity abounding in Manayunk, it’ll be hard to pick just one spot to support! If you haven’t yet been to The Spicy Belly, there’s no better time to check it out than Dining Out for Life! Located about six blocks from your The Isle apartment, the restaurant serves up a creative fusion of Jamaican and Korean fare.
The colorful, creative atmosphere inside the space sets the tone for a laidback and festive meal, with food that’s just as colorful and creative! The dinner menu marries the best of Jamaican favorites with standout Korean dishes, with results like boy choy in a jerk chili sauce and spicy octopus. The cocktail menu is just as unique, and the wine and beer selections feature lots of local favorites. And because a portion of proceeds are supporting a great cause, you can indulge in that second glass without any guilt!
The Spicy Belly is also offering some extra incentive. It’s one of a handful of eateries participating in 20% Off Tuesdays: Dine at the restaurant on DOFL and get a coupon for 20% off your entire bill that can be used at The Spicy Belly every Tuesday through the end of the year. So when you give back this once, you get to get back benefits the whole year long!
If you’re looking for a way to give back that doesn’t cost a lot but has a big impact, clear your schedule on April 18 and Dine Out for Life!
