Best Places to See Spring Flowers Near The Isle

The sun is out, the birds are singing and the sound of kids playing has returned to the streets of Philly! Spring is an exciting time to get out and about near your The Isle apartment for some fresh air and fun. One of the best ways to really get the most of your outdoor experience is to take in some of the beautiful blooms that come to life in the parks, arboretums and gardens in and around Manayunk.

Here are a few of the best local spots to see (and smell!) spring flowers:

Wissahickon Valley Park: The city’s second-largest park is just one mile from your The Isle apartment. Wissahickon features 1,800 acres of parkland ripe for exploration! Spy colorful blooms along the miles of trails, along with lots of wildlife flocking back to the park as the weather warms.

Gorgas Park: Located one mile from your The Isle apartment in nearby Roxborough, Gorgas Park features a number of beautiful flower beds. Though small, the well-manicured community park is a great spot to relax with a good book after work or on the weekend to gain some fresh perspective.

West Laurel Hill Cemetery: Just over the Schuylkill River in Bala Cynwyd, West Laurel Hill Cemetery, set high on a hill, offers some of the best views of the city and surrounding areas. Those views include impressive landscaping at the historic cemetery itself, located one mile from your The Isle apartment. The cemetery is a certified arboretum, home to trees and unique shrubbery representing a wide range of types and colors—and many dating back hundreds of years, making a walk through the cemetery both a beautiful and educational experience!
