Attention, music lovers! Block off your calendar Aug. 23-26 for an annual music festival that takes over Manayunk.

The Liberty Music Fest, now in its seventh year, features more than 100 performers who will take the stage at both indoor and outdoor venues on Main Street and beyond, right near your The Isle apartment. Musical acts span across all tastes, from hip hop to jazz to indie to folk—and everything in between. The festival also showcases musicians at all stages of their career. There will be established, national acts, those who are on the rise in the region and locals who are just breaking into the industry.

A number of venues will participate throughout the weekend, with most of the activity centering on Grape Street Pub, just one block from your The Isle apartment. From noon-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, the festival will take over Grape Street, which will be shut down for a free block party. The stage will host dozens of acts, while music lovers can mix and mingle, buy band merchandise and enjoy food trucks, drinks, vendors and more.

The festival is happening at the end of the summer, so there’s no better time to get out and about and enjoy the sights and sounds of Manayunk. The festival’s block party will be situated right near the Manayunk Canal, meaning that if it’s a warm day, you can take a respite in the shade along the water to recharge your batteries before going back to the party. Or, take a break from the music with a stroll to Main Street to check out the shops, bars and restaurants.
