Dine Out For Life in Philly

Once a year, thousands of restaurants across the nation, including dozens near your The Isle apartment, join forces in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Dining Out for Life has been raising funds for HIV/AIDS causes for decades, and 2018 is set to be the biggest and best year of the fundraiser. On April 19, more than 175 local eateries will donate a third of their proceeds to the effort, which will then be distributed directly to local residents affected by the disease as well as to organizations that work to combat the epidemic. While the event raises funds and awareness for a serious cause, it’s also designed to encourage diners to enjoy a fun night out, with many venues featuring entertainment, raffles and specials.

Diners can find something to suit any taste at Dining Out for Life, as restaurants representing a range of flavors, and across varying price points, are participating. Even among eateries near your The Isle apartment, you can find lots of options, such as:

Adobe Café Manayunk: About seven blocks from your The Isle apartment, Adobe Café Manayunk takes diners south of the border. The restaurant has been bringing the finest and freshest authentic Mexican and Southwest cuisine to the neighborhood for nearly 30 years. The outdoor patios are the perfect setting for Dining Out for Life, as you can grab a big crew of friends and take over the beautifully decorated space for a night of fun, all for a good cause.

The Spicy Belly: Jamaican and Korean unite at The Spicy Belly, six blocks from your The Isle apartment. The eatery is new to Manayunk but has already built a strong following. Diners will be intrigued by The Spicy Belly’s creative and international approaches to tacos, wings and even cheesesteaks. Wash it all down with an expansive bar featuring beers, wines and spirits from around the world.
