Parks On Tap is Coming to Pretzel Park This Week

Looking for a reason to get outside and soak up the last of this year’s warm weather? The Parks On Tap summer beer garden series hits Manayunk September 13th through 17th, and it’s just the excuse you need to fit a little more outdoor drinking into your season. We have been waiting all summer and the pop-up “watering hole” is finally coming to The Isle’s neighborhood. For a long weekend in September, see our beloved Pretzel Park transform into the community’s most popular bar.

Parks On Tap will offer seven craft beers on draft, wine, and delicious frozen cocktails. Try out Jack’s Hard Cider, it’s perfect in the September weather. They also have a food menu, by Brandon Thomas and Alex Bois, of smoked barbeque sandwiches and snacks for 2017. The menu isn’t huge but does include a number of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. We recommend the picnic basket, BBQ pulled pork, and the smoked eggplant sandwich.

Pretzel Park will stay dog-friendly throughout this event. Parks On Tap aims to bring people together, engage each community, and give back while doing it. A portion of the proceeds from each location goes directly back into the park for conservation and beautification purposes. For our fitness lovers, come at 6:30 pm on Thursday evening for yoga class hosted by a local studio, Roots 2 Rise. It’s only a $10 suggested donations and comes with a $1-off voucher to use at the beer garden. Pretzel Park is such a short walk from The Isle, so why not check it out some night?
