Don’t Miss Manayunk’s Own Street Food Festival and Fall Restaurant Week

The cool weather is moving in and the warm inviting scents of autumn are filling the streets. One of the best parts of the season is it’s traditional sweet and spicy culinary delights. We aren’t just talking about pumpkin spice lattes and cider donuts. Manayunk locals know that fall means new artisanal dishes will be popping up on menus all over the neighborhood. It’s a grand time for dining in the area, but having so many options can be a little intimidating. Lucky for residents of The Isle, there are already some great new events right nearby that can help diners sort through Manayunk’s extensive fall cuisine. The Fall StrEAT Food Festival is on Thursday, September 14th and it kicks off the Manayunk Fall Restaurant Week. Even if you miss the initial event you can still indulge this local favorite through Thursday, September 28th.

The Manayunk StrEAT Food Festival runs from 5 pm to 11 pm, making it a great spot to grab dinner on the town. Attendees can take the restaurant tour and sample dishes from several of Main Street’s premier restaurants or opt for a food truck or gourmet vendor. There are over 50 food trucks to choose from as well as vendor stands from many of Philadelphia’s best food and ingredient producers. Visitors can also enjoy shopping opportunities and live music from three separate stages. This year’s theme ingredient is apples, so expect a lot of related dishes and specials.

For two weeks after the festival, Manayunk residents can keep trying new fall foods during the awaited Fall Restaurant Week. Many of the neighborhood’s finest eating establishments will be offering three-course meals for just $15, $25, or $35 dollars. Each restaurant will feature its own carefully curated seasonal menu. Manayunk’s Fall Restaurant Week is a great way to try out lots of the area’s culinary treasures without overspending.
