The Philadelphia Museum of Art’s ‘Inside Out’ is Coming to Manayunk

Starting on May 15th, residents of The Isle won’t have to go very far to see world-class, historical artwork. The Philadelphia Museum of Art’s latest exhibition is all about introducing art to the area. The theme is putting art in “unexpected places” and the museum will be placing large-scale replicas of some of the pieces it houses throughout the Philadelphia area.

Indulge in the works of Vincent van Gogh, Salvador Dali, Andy Warhol, Georgia O’Keeffe, Claude Monet, and much more, without ever stepping within the walls of the museum. Every piece is outdoors and will remain on display until Mid-August, so it’s a great activity for the warming weather. You can plan a route to see all the art in the neighborhood using this map or just stumble upon these beautiful pieces as you move through life.

Throughout the summer, several Inside Out events will be held, including a launch party in Pretzel Park, an official night stroll, an Instagram competition, and even a weekend where all local residents of Manayunk are granted free admission to the actual Philadelphia Museum of Art. Enjoy the art!
